The print preview shows up correctly but still prints out a blank page. Also it seems to be random, some work and then some don’t. I moved a particular publisher file that we were working on today to my laptop and got it to print twice and then it stopped working.
I have tried several different things to see if it was the issue and none have worked so far. We have looked to see if any add-ons would be causing this and nothing is in the add-on section. In the preview it is fine. It prints a few then it leaves one blank page and then after a few more they are all blank.
It prints fine with out merging the document for mailing. In the pdf file it doubled the amount of pages and the pictures in the file were really black. I tried what you suggested and it still doesn’t print the whole file. In print preview everything shows up fine. I am not using a merge to a PDF file. I am using Publisher to print out our monthly newsletter with a mail merge of the names.
It will print about six newsletters then starts printing some blank pages in the newsletter, then stops and says publisher cannot complete the task. Go to the printer manufacturer site and see if there is an updated driver for Win Even if there isn’t you might want to reinstall your printer. Thanks for this. I tried the Online Repair and reboot. Remarkably, Publisher did not hesitate to print 3 copies of the card whereas before it was just spewing out blank sheets if I tried to print more than one.
But still it is not printing all the photos. I checked my old software and realised that I have been using Publisher until now. So I reinstalled it and everything works fine with the old software. While this does not resolve the problems, it has got me back on schedule. I noted a suggestion from DavidF2 to reduce the dpi of the photos, but one should not need to do that surely. Especially since Publisher is printing just fine.
